WRISTWATCH DESIGN

Technical and aesthetical development of a wristwatch according to a self imaginated moodboard. The challenge was to successfully translate the universe of the moodboard by respecting the technical constraints of the caliber, such as the case and crown waterproofness. 

This sober, pure and elegant wristwatch brings a meaningful touch of style that the true gentlemen are looking for. The fusion between the lugs and the caseback gives an interesting vintage revisited feature.

CYCEON

This communication project consisted in recognizing aesthetic conventions knowing how to translate and associate them, in order to target the right public and limit the commercial risks. To concretize the learning of these conventions, the exercise required to imagine a public and to design a particular watch for it. Then to carry out a file and a presentation of the whole approach in front of a jury.

Cycéon is a pocket watch realized according to two aesthetic conventions - Art Deco and Romanticism. The first one is the dominant convention whereas the second one is expressed in a more subtle way: sublimating by its function. Indeed, the discrete consumers of illicit substances are served thanks to the compartment dissimulated in the crown.

LAMBDA HEALTH SYSTEM

Realization of an attractive and functional design of the hood of the Lambda Health System, system of rehabilitation of the lower extremities.

 

The Lambda is the only rehabilitation device that offers the freedom of a plan workspace in which the leg can be manipulated throughout almost its entire working area. Because of this quality, various existing and innovative exercices and therapies could be realized without patient transfer between machines, including Serious Games and Virtual Reality applications. All exercises are fully customizable and can therefore follow the patient from the early days after the trauma until the ambulatory care. All this is controlled by a complete and intuitive user interface, allowing a fast mastery by therapists.

 

Soft and curvy design which was conceived with a will to minimize the manufacturing costs and the obstruction of the system.

WATCH DISPLAY UNIT

Design of an electromechanical display unit allowing a watch to turn according to two distinct axes.

 

This watch display unit provide a pleasant visualization of a timepiece by procuring the visibility of each angles of it. For instance, the hand finishes, rubies and other movement features can be highlighted.

Design of an automated bottle-opener aiming to complete a demonstrator used in theoretical courses for the school institute.

 

This system adapts himslef to the existing demonstrator. It offers a good visibility thanks to the plexiglas in order to understand the mechanism. Moreover, it takes into consideration the hygiene as well as the ergonomics of maintenance and takes delivery of the cork inside the blue box once unscrewed.

DEXTER

Design of a robot able to mark five targets, by guiding himself with the help of a cylindrical steel bar, as fast as possible on a defined track. Competition between all the first-year students of the Haute Ecole Arc.

 

Dexter uses a traction on the ground, leans on the cylindrical steel bar using four guided wheels and marks the five targets thanks to an electromagnet equipped with a pencil lead.

NONNA

Design and prototyping of a clutch bag in the sewing workshops of Politecnico di Milano. Nonna is a minimal but very functional clutch bag inspired by the wheel shopping trolley. It is possible to carry it in different ways. Using the handle or getting through the hole and positioning the hand under the bag.

VESTAE

Its title is Vestae, meaning: to Vesta. To the Goddess of domestic life, home and the sacred flame is dedicated the project realized for the 2016 edition of the Salone del Mobile by Creative Academy along with the Cologni Foundation for the Métiers d’Art, with the support of the Maison Van Cleef & Arpels.

 

The twenty students of the Master of Arts in Design and Applied Arts of Creative Academy, led by Alberto Nespoli and Domenico Rocca, founders together with Leo Prusicki of the new brand Eligo, created a collection with particular materials, such as natural sponge, soap and waffle fabrics, relying on the knowhow of three time-honoured Italian artisanal workshops: Busatti, Cose della Natura and Valobra. 

The students have developed the brief entirely, not only designing a capsule collection enhancing the texture, fragrances, colors and expressive potential of the materials, but also concentrating on the packaging, the exhibition setup and the graphics related to the communication of the project. The exhibition will be staged in an emblematic setting: the Albergo Diurno Venezia in Milan, attributed to the legendary architect Piero Portaluppi and conceived as a symbol of the Milanese well-being, granted to FAI by the Municipality of Milan.

INTERNSHIP

A. Lange Söhne selected me during my master degree for a 3 months internship in Dresden, Germany. The task was to design several proposals of an everyday wristwatch according to a precise brief written by the Product Design studio team.

Here is the result of two concepts developed through this ambitious experience.

BACHELOR PROJECT

Design of a unique «Maître Cabinotiers» timepiece for the watch brand Vacheron Constantin within its unique service: the Atelier Cabinotiers. This service makes custom watches according to the wishes of demanding customers.

 

This project was carried out in two distinct phases. The first phase, called P3 project, was conducted as follows: an in-depth study of the brand with an analysis of the Métiers d’Art helped lead to the specifications statement. Indeed, it is thanks to my analyses that I plotted a specific customer order, precisely explained in the specifications statement. The second phase, called bachelor project and taking place over eight weeks, helped answer this hypothetical request by conducting a unique «Maître Cabinotiers» timepiece revisiting a more traditional watchmaking use of the singular caliber 2460 G4.

HUBLOT INTERNSHIP

Hublot requested me during the recruitment process to work on a special project in order to be selected for the internship. The task was to design a watch packaging, a certificate of authenticity and a gift based on the hockey topic.

Here is the result of this exercise which allowed me to be selected for a 6 months internship at the manufacture in Nyon.
